Plaid is the secure bank connection service that powers PropFirm Sync's automatic financial tracking. Once connected, PropFirm Sync scans your bank and credit card statements to detect prop firm transactions โ evaluation fees, resets, activation fees, and payouts โ and logs them automatically.
How to Connect Your Bank Account
Step 1: From the Challenges dashboard, click Plaid ยท Bank connections in the top navigation bar.
Step 2: In the Bank connections modal, click + Add bank account.
Step 3: Choose how far back you want to import transactions. For your full history, select the date you first started purchasing prop firm accounts. Then click Connect Bank.
Step 4: The Plaid window will open. Follow the steps to connect your bank account.
Once connected, PropFirm Sync will begin detecting prop firm transactions automatically. Your connected accounts will appear in the Bank connections panel with their last sync date.
๐ก You can connect multiple bank accounts and credit cards โ PropFirm Sync will pull transactions from all of them.
๐ Your data is safe. When you connect your bank via Plaid, TradeZella only sees prop firm-related transactions โ nothing else. TradeZella does not store your login credentials, cannot access your full bank account, cannot move funds, and cannot make any changes to your account. All data is encrypted and transmitted securely through Plaid.
How to Refresh or Remove a Connection
Click the Bank connections button from the top nav. Each linked account shows:
โป โ Manually trigger a sync to pull in any new transactions
โ โ Disconnect the account entirely
Reviewing and Fixing Transactions
PropFirm Sync makes its best guess when categorizing detected transactions, but it may not always get it right.
To correct a transaction, go to the Transactions tab, find the transaction, and click the edit icon next to the Category field. You can update the category and link the transaction to a specific challenge if it isn't already attached.
Every transaction has a review status:
Reviewed โ confirmed and categorized correctly
Not Reviewed โ detected but not yet verified by you
Ignored โ excluded from your financial calculations
Use the ( โฎ ) Menu on any transaction row to mark it as Reviewed, Not Reviewed, or Ignored โ or to delete a transaction that shouldn't be there.
Transactions marked as Ignored won't affect your dashboard totals.
โ ๏ธ Note: Deleting a transaction is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to review carefully before deleting.
What If My Bank Isn't Supported?
Plaid currently supports US financial institutions and nearby regions only. EU support is on our roadmap.
If your bank isn't supported, let us know so we can have it supported sooner. In the meantime, you can still log all transactions manually from the Transactions tab. Your data will be just as accurate โ it just requires manual entry rather than automatic detection.
