PropFirm Sync vs. Importing Your Prop Firm Trades: What's the Difference?

PropFirm Sync tracks your prop firm fees and payouts. To import your actual trades, use Broker Sync or File Upload instead.

If you want to get your prop firm trades into TradeZella, you'll use Broker Sync or File Upload — not PropFirm Sync. These are two different features that traders often mix up, so here's the difference.

PropFirm Sync tracks your prop firm finances — not your trades

PropFirm Sync is your propfirm command center for the money side of prop trading: eval fees, resets, activations, payouts, ROI, and the status of every evaluation, funded, and breached account. It connects to your bank (via Plaid), not to your trading platform, so it does not import your trade history. Use it when you want to know whether you're truly profitable across all your prop firms.

To import your trades, use Broker Sync or File Upload

To get your actual trades into your Trade Log and Journal, you have two options:

Broker Sync (automatic) — Connect your trading account and TradeZella imports your trades automatically. Best if your broker or platform is supported.

File Upload (CSV) — Export a CSV from your propfirm's trading platform (for example MetaTrader, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, Tradovate, or Rithmic) and upload it to TradeZella. This is how most prop firm accounts get imported.

Which one do I need?

If your question is "how do I track my prop firm fees, payouts, and ROI?" → use PropFirm Sync.

If your question is "how do I get my trades into TradeZella to journal and analyze them?" → use Broker Sync or File Upload.
