You can use templates two ways in TradeZella: apply one to a note whenever you're writing it, or set a default template so a folder's notes are pre-filled automatically.
Setting a Default Template for a Folder
Go to the Notebook.
Click the three dots (...) beside the folder you want to set a template for (e.g. Daily Journal).
Select 'Select Default Template'.
Type your own template, or select one from your existing templates.
Click 'Save template' and then click on 'Add default template'.
Once set, this template will automatically populate whenever you add a new note to that folder — keeping your entries consistent.
Applying a Template to a Note
You're not limited to the Notebook for this — you can apply or change a note's template from anywhere you write one:
Notebook — click the Templates icon in the toolbar.
Trade Preview panel or Trade Detail page — in the Notes tab (Trade note or Daily Journal sub-tab), pick from Recently used templates or click + Add template.
Day View — click View note (or + Add note) on a day to open its note popup, then click Templates at the top for a Recently used list, with See more templates and Manage Templates below it.
Dashboard (day planning page) — the day's Notes section shows which template it started from, with a Change link to switch to a different one; the toolbar's Templates icon is also available here, same as in the Notebook.
Clicking Templates / Add template opens the template picker, where you can search, pick from Favourites or Recommended templates, choose one of your own, or Create new template.
How Default Template Works:
This template you create will be synced to all the notes pages. So, whenever you write a note for the day, your default template will automatically populate, ensuring consistency in your note-taking. ✍️
