Tags are an essential tool for organizing your trading journal and gaining deeper insights into your trading performance. They allow you to track different trading setups, identify recurring mistakes, and recognize patterns in your trading behavior.
With TradeZella's Tag Management feature, you can create and customize tags, organize them into categories, and manage them all in one place. By consistently tagging your trades, you can better understand your trading decisions, evaluate your performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Creating and Deleting Tags and Tag Categories
Tags and tag categories are created, renamed, and removed from the Content management page in your settings — split into a Categories tab and a Tags tab.
See Creating and Deleting Tags and Tag Categories for the full breakdown.
Applying Tags to Trades
Attach tags to a trade from the Day or Week tab, or from a trade's preview or detail page — each tagging panel lets you pick existing tags or create new ones without leaving the flow.
See Applying Tags to Trades for the full breakdown.
Analyzing Tags
Once your trades are tagged, you can see which setups and mistakes are actually helping or hurting your results — filter by tag, or pull a full performance breakdown across all your tags.

Best Practices
Be consistent: Always tag your trades with relevant tags to maintain consistency in your analysis.
Be honest: Use tags like “No Setup” when there isn’t a real setup to understand your trading behavior better.
Take notes: During a trade(or use the Trade Replay Feature), jot down any mistakes you catch yourself making. This will make your recap easier and more accurate.
By effectively using tags, you can analyze your trades more efficiently and gain valuable insights into your trading patterns.
