TradeZella’s Connections feature lets you link an AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT, to your TradeZella account. You can then ask about your trading in plain words instead of digging through reports.
The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets AI apps securely read the TradeZella data you allow.
Where do I find Connections?
In TradeZella, go to Settings → Connections. You can also go straight there: https://app.tradezella.com/settings/ai-connections
The Connections page has two sections:
Connected apps shows every app linked to your account, with its access level (Read-only or Read & write), the date it was connected, and when it was last active. You can disconnect any app from here.
How to connect has the setup steps for each supported app: Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code.
How do I connect an app?
Every app uses the same TradeZella MCP link: https://mcp.tradezella.com/mcp. The exact steps are different for each app, but the flow is the same:
Add TradeZella in your AI app’s connector or MCP settings using the link above.
Sign in with your TradeZella account when the TradeZella page opens.
Choose Read only or Read & write, then click Allow
For step-by-step instructions for your app, see:
What can a connected app do?
When you connect an app, you choose its access level on the TradeZella approval screen. Read only is selected by default.
Read only: The app can see your trades, reports, strategies, notes, and stats, but it can’t change anything.
Read & write: The app can see your data and also add or update things in your account, like your notes, tags, and strategies.
With either option, the app can’t add, edit, or delete your trades. It also can’t place trades or access your broker or funds.
What can I do once an app is connected?
You can ask it about your trading in everyday language, for example:
“What was my win rate last month?”
“Which setups made me the most money this week?”
“How am I doing on my average risk-to-reward?”
The app answers using the TradeZella data you’ve allowed, like your trades, reports, strategies, notes, and stats.
How do I disconnect an app?
Go to Settings → Connections and find the app under Connected apps.
Click Disconnect next to it.
Click Disconnect again in the pop-up to confirm.
The app loses access to your TradeZella data right away. You can reconnect it anytime.
How do I change an app’s access level?
To switch an app between Read only and Read & write, disconnect it in Settings → Connections, then connect it again and choose the other option on the approval screen.
Is my data safe? Yes
You sign in with your TradeZella account, so there are no passwords or API keys to copy or store.
You decide what each app can do when you connect it, and Read only is the default.
You can disconnect any app at any time in Settings → Connections to remove its access.
Are there any limits?
Each connected app can make up to 30 requests per minute and 1,000 requests per day. If an app reaches a limit, it can make requests again once the minute or day resets.
That’s it — once an app is connected, you can get answers about your trading just by asking.
