Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in to TradeZella. After entering your password, you enter a one-time 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.
Note: 2FA is optional — you choose whether to turn it on.
Who Can Use 2FA?
2FA is available for accounts created with an email and password. The 2FA option also isn't shown during mentor sessions.
What Do I Need Before Enabling 2FA?
You'll need a third-party authenticator app installed on your phone:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Apple Passwords
Any standard authenticator app that generates 6-digit codes will work.
How Do I Enable Two-Factor Authentication?
Go to Settings, then open the Security tab — or go directly to app.tradezella.com/settings/security.
Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Enable 2FA.
Confirm your identity by entering your Password, then click Continue.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or copy the setup key and enter it manually.
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, then click Enable 2FA.
Save your backup codes when prompted, then click Done.
That's it! Your account is now secured, and you'll be asked for a 6-digit code each time you log in.
What Are Backup Codes?
When you enable 2FA, TradeZella shows a set of 10 one-time backup codes. Use these to log in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app.
⚠️ Important: Your backup codes are shown only once and won't be displayed again. Click Copy all codes and store them somewhere safe before clicking Done.
How Do I Disable Two-Factor Authentication?
Go to Settings, then open the Security tab — or go directly to app.tradezella.com/settings/security.
Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Disable 2FA.
Confirm your identity by entering your Password, then click Continue.
Enter your authentication code or a backup code to confirm.
That's it! Two-factor authentication is now turned off, and you won't be asked for a code the next time you log in.
